I love someone who is autistic. With 1 out of every 88 children being diagnosed with autism, many of us love someone with autism. In that spirit, I designed this puzzle piece heart stitched in multiple colors as a way to express love and compassion for those living in the spectrum.
Expect to see a lot of "Show and Tell" on this blog. Maybe I'll throw out the occasional recipe or book review, but really lots of show and tell. Since I'm always creating new things, it's what I usually do on a blog. For example, This charming little flowerpot is what launched me back into my creative ways (after focusing on less important things like going to college, building a career, finding a boyfriend and generally sorting my life out). The aforementioned boyfriend gave me potted plant as a gift (he didn't know about my black thumb). So I painted a pot to go with it. The pot survived years after the plant died.
When my friends saw it, they started telling me that this what I needed to be doing for a living. I appreciate the good intentions, but I also appreciate earning a living wage, so I pursue arts and crafts purely as a hobby for the present and dream of going full-time once (er- IF) I retire.
The pot is long gone (I'm not sure where). But, I kept the boyfriend!
